Snopes Fake-Debunks donald tRump's "Very Fine People" Comment In Reference To NeoNazis & White Supremacists

The "fact checking" website Snopes recently "debunked" the "very fine people" remark made by (then) president donald tRump at Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday August 15, 2017.

Snopes (in a 6/21/2024 "fact check" by Taija PerryCook) says "No, Trump Did Not Call Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists Very Fine People".

Snopes is wrong. Or, rather the "debunk" by Taija PerryCook is inacurate.

Did donald tRump refer to White Supremacists as "very fine people"?

Real fact check rating = True.

See below (following the transcript of predisent tRump's comments) for the explaination.

Video: 6 years ago. President Donald Trump answers questions at a press briefing on infrastructure at Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday August 15, 2017. These are the remarks where predisent tRump refers to NeoNazis and White Supremacists as "very fine" people.

Transcript
Reporter: Are you putting what you're calling the alt-Left and White-Supremacists on the same moral plane?

predisent dotard: I'm not putting anybody on a moral plane. What I'm saying is this -- you had a group on one side and you had a group on the other -- and they came at each other with clubs and it was vicious and it was horrible and it was a horrible thing to watch. But there is another side. There was a group on this side -- you can call them the left. You've just called them the left -- that came violently attacking the other group. So you can say what you want -- but that's the way it is.

Reporter: You said there was hatred -- there was violence on both sides?

predisent dotard: Yes, I think there's blame on both sides. You look at -- you look at both sides. I think there's blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it -- and you don't have any doubt about it either. And, and, and, if you reported it accurately you would say.

Reporter: But NeoNazis started this. They showed up at Charlottesville to protest -- they showed up at Charlottesville to protest the removal of that statue.

predisent dotard: Excuse me. You had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people... that were very fine people -- on both sides -- you had people in that group -- excuse me, excuse me -- I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of -- to them a very, very important statue -- and the renaming of a park from Robert E Lee to another name.

Reporter: George Washington and Robert E Lee are not the same.

predisent dotard: George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we gonna take down -- excuse me -- are we going to take down -- are we going to take down statues to George Wash...? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson -- you like him? okay, good. Are we going to take down the statue -- because he was a major slave owner? Now we going to take down his statue? so you know what -- it's fine. You're changing history. You're changing culture.

And you had people -- and I'm not talking about the neo-nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned, totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-nazis and white nationalists, okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers and you see them come with a with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats you got a you had a lot of bad you had a lot of bad people in the other group too.

Reporter: You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly? I don't understand what you're saying.

predisent dotard: No. There were people in that rally -- and I looked the night before. If you look they were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E Lee. I'm sure in that group there were some bad ones the following day it looked like they had some rough bad people neo-nazis, white nationalists -- whatever you want to call them. But you had a lot of people in that group that were there too. Innocently protesting and very legally protesting. Because you know -- I don't know if you know -- they had a permit the other group didn't have a permit.

So I only tell you this there are two sides to a story I thought what took place was a horrible moment for our country a horrible moment but there are two sides to the country.

Dervish Sanders: At the "united the right" rally in Charlottesville in 2017, did the people there to protest the removal of the statue and renaming of the park have a permit while the counter-protestors did not have a permit?

Copilot: During the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville in 2017, counter-demonstrators did have permits to protest. These permits allowed them to be in nearby Justice and McGuffey parks from 9 AM until 7 PM Both parks are within a short walking distance to Emancipation Park, where the white supremacist rally was held. On the other hand, the "Unite the Right" rally itself did not have a city permit; they had a judge's order allowing them to use Emancipation Park. [1]

Further Commentary: The counter-protestors DID have a permit, as per Snopes. Also, "the judge issued an injunction ... ordering the City to allow the event to take place in Emancipation Park. ...a formal permit for the event was not issued. The City did comply with the court's direction".

The White Nationalists and NeoNazis did not have a permit and the City did not want them there. Despite the court order, the city did not comply. So, this is quite different than what predisent tRump claimed.

Additionally "The night before that Trump was referring to included the infamous tiki torch march, the one with people chanting Blood and soil! And You will not replace us! And Jews will not replace us! Those were the people Trump was specifically referring to in his defense of attendees. (Why Is Snopes.com Helping Trump Clean Up "Very Fine People"? 6/26/2024).

This fact check of Snopes fact check (by The New Republic) proves that donald tRump was SPECIFICALLY calling NeoNazis and White Nationalists "very fine people". So he said the exact opposite just previously... "neo-nazis and the white nationalists ... they should be condemned, totally"?

That is what is called Doublethink. "Doublethink is a process of indoctrination in which subjects are expected to simultaneously accept two conflicting beliefs as truth, often at odds with their own memory or sense of reality".

Saying the NeoNazis and White nationalists should be "condemned totally" and then saying the people protesting the "night before" are "very fine people" is Doublethink. Because the people from the night before were carrying tiki torches and chanting "Blood and soil", "You will not replace us" and "Jews will not replace us".

"I looked the night before" means predisent dotard was calling White Nationalists and NeoNazis "very fine people". Snopes is wrong. Their "debunk" is incorrect. As per the New Republic the conclusion of Snopes "fails to recognize the intricacies of Trump's rhetoric, which serves as a prime example of doublespeak".

Image: Taija PerryCook is a Seattle-based journalist.

Snopes Editors' Note: Some readers have raised the objection that this fact check appears to assume Trump was correct in stating that there were "very fine people on both sides" of the Charlottesville incident. That is not the case. This fact check aimed to confirm what Trump actually said, not whether what he said was true or false. For the record, virtually every source that covered the Unite the Right debacle concluded that it was conceived of, led by and attended by white supremacists, and that therefore Trump's characterization was wrong.

What tRump ACTUALLY said was Doublethink. Snopes is taking what predisent tRump said at face value, and that is where they went wrong. Yes, the rally was conceived of, led by and attended by white supremacists. Also, The Sons of Confederate Veterans (organization that wants to keep such monuments because they represent their "heritage") did not participate in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. They could conceivably be these "very fine people", but they were not there. They did not participate.

And that is the final nail in the coffin of Snopes fake debunk. Nobody from the The Sons of Confederate Veterans attended the rally. ONLY White Supremacists and NeoNazis -- and those opposing them were there. Even taking into consideration Snopes "Editors' Note", their debunk is still BS. You can't even argue that predisent maybe tRump thought SCV members were there, because he SPECIFICALLY referred to the people chanting racist slogans "the night before".

Chinese People Are White & Suprime. No, That Was Mystiping

This commentary concerns a discussion between me and a commenter on the PTL blog that posts anonymously. Though, when he originally showed up he called himself "Q". After he referred to Leftists as "libtards", I decided to call him Qtard.

According to Qtard, I am a racist because I acknowledge the fact that the concept of "race" exists. Even though there is no difference (biologically) between the so-called "races", it exists as a social construct. That's just a fact. But acknowleding this fact makes me a racist. According to this turd.

Which he "proved" by asking me if Chinese people are White and therefore "suprime" (though he meant "supreme"). I said no, because Chinese people are Asian. Now (months later, after asking the question about Chinese people being White and "suprime") he has changed his mind. Now he says the word he meant to write was "supreme" and that "suprime" was a mistyping. One repeated over and over.

Anonymous. July 16, 2023 at 12:01 AM.
No, deepshit. :-)))))
I ASKED you -- WHY you do not call white Chinese WHITE???!!!! :-)))))))))))))))))
On what base? What reasoning?
WHY you DENY their Natural Right to be white???
And suprime. ;-P

Anonymous. July 19, 2023 at 5:54 AM.
\\I OPPOSE racism. (quoting me).
With denying Chinese being white? And suprime? ;-P

Anonymous. August 31, 2023 at 11:32 PM.
\\No. I never said Asian people are "nasty". Qtard wrote that Asian people are nasty. Not what I believe. (quoting me).
Then??? WHY you DENY em right to be called White??? And Suprime?

Anonymous. September 4, 2023 at 1:42 AM.
You NEVER have said "I *DO* deny...", you NEVER denied Chinese to be White (and Suprime ;-P) and etc-etc-etc. :-)))))))))))))))

Anonymous. September 18, 2023 at 12:46 AM.
Then... say it with your own words -- that Chinese are White... and Suprime. ;-P

Anonymous. May 22, 2024 at 6:30 AM.
Yeah. White Chinese... really are Supreme. ;-P

Dervish Sanders. May 23, 2024 at 12:52 PM.
Is that what you are, crazy cretin? Why you've babbled a number of times about how Chinese are White and "Suprime". Huh. You actually used the correct word this time.

Anonymous. May 23, 2024 at 9:57 PM.
\\Because it is the WRONG word. (quoting me. "suprime" is the wrong word because he meant "supreme").
Who said? ;-P You -- cretin. Your opinion -- is of NO importance. ;-P

Anonymous. May 30, 2024 at 2:42 AM.
\\We were talking about "suprime". Written by you (previously). After which you completely forgot. (quoting me).
Why??? I should remember every mistyping I did, who know how long ago?

He JUST defended his use of "suprime". He asked "who says?" ("suprime" isn't the word he meant). Then (just a while later) he says it was a mistyping. Mistyped over and over. Over many months. And I tried to correct him previously. But he kept writing "suprime". Obviously that was NOT a mistyping. It was on purpose.

Writing "mystiping" once (which he did in another comment) was a typo. "Suprime" was NOT a mistyping.

The
Wiktionary definition for "suprime" says it is a Spanish word for "delete" (as in the delete key on a keyboard). Or "to suppress (to prevent publication) OR to suppress (to hold in place, to keep low)".

Is that what he meant when he wrote "suprime"? That Chinese people should be deleted or suppressed? That sounds much different than saying Chinese people are White and "Supreme".

Given that, I say it is Qtard who is the racist. This is a person who also thinks that White people can be referred to using the term "ni**a".

Anonymous. September 8, 2023 at 3:09 AM.
What constitues being "nigga"??? If not being poor, powerless and because of that abused? But, there was a LOT of distinctly White... who was same, or even MORE poor and powerless. Or... Racist Derpy think that poor and powerless somehow attached to being of "race"???

According to this comment, I'm a racist because I think that term has only been used in regards to Black people, not White people.

Merriam Webster says that word is offensive if used by a White person. Initially Qtard referred to himself as "ziz nigga". Upon questioning he revealed he is White. But he is "ziz nigga" as per his definition (quoted above). ANYONE can be referred to using that term... if they are poor and powerless.

Though Qtard also claims to be incredibly smart and highly educated. So, I think he lies about being poor and powerless. I told him I thought the US government should do more to address extreme poverty and crime, and (according to him) that makes me a Nazi. He wrote, "Well... that was AMONG talking points of Historical Nazis".

He's poor and powerless, yet a far-right conservative. OK. That is the case with many trumpers. They are poor and powerless Whites, yet they vote for republican candidates (and against their own interests). BUT... Qtard also claims he is highly educated and incredibly smart. Yeah, I don't think that adds up.

I don't believe he is poor and powerless. Or "ziz nigga". I say he is a racist. Because it is racists who form the foundation of donald tRump's support. And, yes, Qtard is a bigly donald tRump defender. He (parroting tRump's own words) says donald tRump is like Alexei Navalny and Nelson Mandela. donald tRump (Qtard says) is being politically persecuted in a kangaroo court by the totalitarian Bi-den (hypen inserted into "Biden" for an undisclosed reason).

Qtard spews "deepshit" like this constantly. Even though (he says) "I studied Physics in school. With excellent grades. And... I'm smart".

Video: Jun 3, 2021. Adrian and Dolly take inspiration from "Minor Feelings", a novel by Cathy Park Hong, to unpack the stereotype that Asians are next in line to be white. By taking a look at the movies Get Out and Do The Right Thing, Adrian and Dolly examine pop culture references about Asian proximity to whiteness. They connect these moments to 3 historic Supreme Court cases where Asian Americans sued for white privilege and their discussion builds upon the theory’s of Cheryl Harris, a law professor who examines whiteness as a form of ownership. #Whiteness #AAPI #GetOut.

Bing AI Copilot Confirms That donald tRump is a White Supremacist

Well, that donald tRump is a White Supremacist is quite self evident. Below is a conversation I engaged in recently with the Bing AI copilot. The topic of discussion was the White Supremacist views of donald tRump.

Dervish Sanders: Bing AI Copilot, how would you describe what you are?

Bing AI Copilot: I'm an AI companion designed to assist users by providing information, answering questions, and engaging in conversation. My primary role is to be helpful and supportive. If you have any other queries, feel free to ask!

Dervish Sanders: Isn't it true that donald Trump is a White Supremacist?

Copilot: Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, has faced accusations and controversy related to racism and white supremacy. While some people view his speech and actions as racist or white supremacist1, others have defended him. Following are some key points.

Associations with White Supremacists.

In 2022, Trump dined at his Mar-a-Lago home with Nick Fuentes, a political commentator identified by the Department of Justice as a white supremacist. Fuentes is known for Holocaust denial, threats against Jewish people, and hate speech against Black Americans. Trump also dined with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), who has faced criticism for antisemitic and anti-Black comments.

Debates and Denials.

During the 2020 presidential debates, Trump was asked to explicitly condemn white supremacists. While he initially said he was willing to do so, he did not clearly denounce them. Trump has repeatedly denied accusations of racism, but his history of controversial statements and associations has fueled ongoing debate.

Reactions and Condemnations.

Some Democrats, anti-racist groups, and even Republicans have condemned Trump for associating with white supremacists. However, not all Republicans responded to the situation, highlighting divisions within the party. In summary, opinions on whether Trump is a white supremacist vary, but his associations and statements have raised significant concerns.

Dervish Sanders: (no longer conversing with the Copilot) Confirmed! As per the Copilot, donald tRump associates with White Supremacists. donald tRump did not clearly denounce White Supremacists.
FactCheck.org: Trump has said his "very fine people" comment referred not to white supremacists and neo-Nazis but to "people that went because they felt very strongly about the monument to Robert E. Lee -- a great general, whether you like it or not". Some have argued that explanation doesn't hold up, because Trump referred in that statement to a protest "the night before" when -- it was widely reported -- white nationalists burned tiki torches and chanted anti-Semitic and white nationalist slogans. We'll leave it to readers to make up their minds on Trump's remarks...

Yeah, the AI Copilot made up it's "mind". And I agree with it. donald tRump has never clearly denounced White Supremacists. He only "denounced" White Supremacists with a wink and a nod. Because donald tRump is a White Supremacist. White Supremacists know he is one of them. Why they haven't abandoned him. Why White Supremacist militia groups heard their leader's call to stand back and stand by. They stood by for word from their leader. He gave it and they attacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Wikipedia: The Unite the Right rally was a white supremacist rally that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, from August 11 to 12, 2017. Marchers included members of the alt-right, neo-Confederates, neo-fascists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and far-right militias. Some groups chanted racist and antisemitic slogans and carried weapons, Nazi and neo-Nazi symbols, the Valknut, Confederate battle flags, Deus vult crosses, flags, and other symbols of various past and present antisemitic and anti-Islamic groups. The organizers' stated goals included the unification of the American white nationalist movement and opposing the proposed removal of the statue of General Robert E. Lee from Charlottesville's former Lee Park. Link.

Yet dotard donald says the "very fine people" were only the people there who wanted to preserve their heritage and aren't haters. That's complete baloney, and I will tell you why. As per Wikipedia, it is primiarly racists who were there in protest. Racists who are who organized the rally. Their goal was to protest the removal of statues to traitors and to "unite the right".

Was there anyone there who disagreed with racism? Maybe. But yet, they were there to preserve their "heritage" of racism. Which is what the enslavement of African Americans represent. What their ancestors fought for. What the monuments represent. The statues in question represent racism. This means they were fighting to preserve their "heritage" of racism. That isn't a "very fine person" in my opinion.

Mystere (A Racist Asian-American) Finds Anti-Mexican Twitter Account (il Donaldo Trumpo) Bigly Hilarious

Anus = "ain't us" (I assume). But this isn't the reason liberals hate trumpers. The real reason? (In part) it is that trumper republicans think racist stupidity like this is funny.

This tweet came to my attention after I followed a link Mystere posted on WYD. Mystere is an Asian-American trump supporter who lives in California and refers to people of Mexican heritage as "greasers".

Yet Mystere is pro-Democracy when it comes to Cuba. Although I think the reason is because Cuban-Americans generally align themselves with the republican party. So Hispanic people of Cuban heritage would be the "good ones", while Hispanic Americans (who generally align themselves with the Democratic Party) would be the bad ones. Why Mystere was bigly in favor of Dotard Donald's idiotic wall (gotta keep out the "invaders" who travel to America to kill and rape White women).

Something else Mystere likes? The lie that Democrats are pro-communist. After Minus FJ linked to a YouTube video about the recent protests in Cuba, Mystere wrote (using his Qanon identity) "Flingo al-Dervish pooped his diapers when he saw that".

"Flingo" is the puppet sidekick of a personality who calls himself "Mr. Methane". Mr. Methane is an idiot who went on American's Got Talent (AGT) and farted. He calls himself a "flatulist". aka "an entertainer... whose routine consists solely or primarily of passing gas in a creative, musical, or amusing manner".

Clearly this is projection. As everyone knows, it is Mystere who is a bigly fan of passing gas. The low IQ imbecile often writes (when he BELIEVES he has authored a witty retort) that the commenter he disagrees with has received a "Blog Rikishi stinkface".

Apparently Mystere is also a fan of AGT, a program I don't watch. I've also never seen a single episode of the singing competition television series American Idol. And, for the record, I'm not a fan of Communism. Not that I believe these protests in Cuba will lead to the overthrow of the Cuban government (which will then transition to Democracy).

So, even if I were a fan of Communism in Cuba (which I'm not), I wouldn't be pooping my pants if I thought the Cuban government was on the verge of collapse. Maybe someday? That certainly would be a positive development. Especially if there is minimal bloodshed (re any such revolution). Because I'm not pro-Communism.

I'm also not pro-racism, unlike Mystere. Why he's totally on board re trumper White Supremacy (even though he is an Asian-American). How stupid can you get?

On The Idea That It's Conservatives Who Are Being Discriminated Against

Apparently it's "ideological hatred" that we all should be concerned about, not racial hatred. Or the hatred of gay people. Those types of hate are A-OK. They simply represent a different point of view.

French philosopher Michel de Montaigne "repeatedly warns us against too great a certainty about our knowledge and our conviction that our way is the only right way". So, who's to say hating people who are not like ourselves (if you're White and straight) isn't the right way?

Given this, how can Progressives argue they are tolerant? Clearly they are extremely intolerant of White working class culture (aka White Supremacism).

Conservatives think the "I'm rubber, you're glue" defense works? Maybe, if you fancy it up by quoting French philosophers, some will be fooled. One thing is for sure, which is that truth and facts aren't on the side of the modern "GOP".

Explaining why they've decided to go ALL in on bigly false narratives. Dotard actually won the 2020 election, Dotard's agenda was thwarted at every turn by the fake news and the "deep state".

And the party representing the "real racists" is the one most African Americans vote for. The same party that has far more elected Black politicians than the other. Dotard was (and remains) the least racist person on the face of the earth. Also in all of human history. And absolutely not a White Supremacist who "won" by taking the racist White grievance narrative mainstream.

#DemExit Black Voters Are Leaving The "Democratic Plantation" In Droves

From the Joe Conservative (Minus FJ sockpuppet) blog Political Tea Leaves.

Joe Conservative: No, Blacks are leaving the Democratic plantation in droves. Get over it. They aren't your slaves anymore, Dervy. They have their OWN minds and dreams to dream. (8/27/2020 at 4:37am).

Dervish Sanders: Dotard's Black support is the same now as in 2016 [less than 10%. Probably around 6-8 percent]. Nobody is leaving the Democratic Party (not "plantation") in "droves" to vote for Dotard. Except in your delusions. (8/27/2020 at 5:24am).

TYT Video: Trump Voters Go UNHINGED When Given Facts (11:58). Trump voters incorrectly believe his Black support is much higher than it actually is.

Newsy Video: Why the majority of black voters are Democrats (2:40).

MSNBC Video: President Donald Trump's History Of Racist Remarks (15:59). AM Joy with fill-in host Jonathan Capehart.

Yet, according to Minus, America is coming together under Dotard? Right. Black Americans want the Democratic Party to do a better job addressing their concerns, but they are NOT leaving the party "in droves" to vote for a White Supremacist.

btw, #DemExit and #WalkAway are Twitter hastags used by Russian bots and trolls. aka, that these hashtags are "trending" (proof that Black voters and Progressives are leaving the Democratic Party) is (Russian) bullshit.

The Real Looters

This post concerns the looters. I'm not talking about people smashing windows and grabbing all they can from businessses during the nighttime. Following daytime peacefull Black Lives Matter protests. What I'm talking about concerns considerably larger sums of money.

Businesses connected to Trump advisor Jared Kushner and his family received millions in paycheck protection loans. Business Insider article by Graham Rapier. 7/7/2020. (Excerpt).

Observer Holdings, the publishing company owned by Kushner's brother in law which publishes what remains of the former New York Observer newspaper, received between $350,000 and $1 million to protect 41 jobs, records show.

Princeton Forrestal LLC, controlled by several Kushner's related to the White House confidant, received between $1 million and $2 million, and Esplanade Livingston, which owns the land housing the family's Westminster Hotel, also received $350,000 to $1 million.

Of course massive corruption like this is just fine according to trumper Minus FJ. Because once you attain a postion of authority, the rules no longer apply.

Joe Conservative (Minus FJ Sockpuppet): Law requires an authoritarian police state. For it is law which creates/establishes the "authorities". When I was at the Academy I learned that the laws (Regulations) are meaningless, that the "Authorities" can do as they please. It's not an easy lesson to accept, but it's one that anyone who is smart, will learn. The heart of authority is derived from Force, either it's current execution or memory of its' application in the past. (7/3/2020 at 6:17am).

Reading this comment my conclusion is that Minus admires Dotard for his lawlessness and corruption. That the Dotard crime family has been able to loot large sums of money from the government is nothing to criticize them for. It proves he is smart. Not that Minus admires crooked Democrats who steal and get away with it. Dotard is also doing things that Minus approves of.

Democrats don't want to punish the poor and middle class by cutting the social safety net. Nor do they wish to reward the rich by cutting their taxes. Democrats also don't seek to suppress the votes of minorities, thereby preserving White privliege and the patriarchy.

More importantly Dotard is promoting White Supremacism and looking out firstly for the White race. Things Minus likes very much. Although he denies it. But the public isn't buying it. The bottom line here is that Dotard is a special case, being the Alt-right's anti-globalism, anti-cultural Marxism champion. Thus making his profiting from the presidency very well earned.

btw, I heard that Kanye West, Grover Norquist, and The Ayn Rand Institute (in addition to other conservatives and conservative groups) were rewarded for their loyalty. "Proof" that, as Minus says, "Reward Friends, Punish Enemies" is the motto of the Democratic Party.

FYI, PPP loans do not have to be paid back "if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities". Something that some companies whose profits have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic might have done (laid off employees).

How many people do you think the Ayn Rand Institute was planning on firing before the Dotard administration threw it a lifeline? Zero, maybe? I think they are getting paid to keep people on the payroll they had no intention of letting go in the first place. And I would bet that is the case with most (if not all) of the Dotard friends who were rewarded (with taxpayer money).

Minus FJ Pushes Fake Claims Of Bias Against Conservatives

The trumpy blogger Minus FJ (a regular WYD commenter), in a duo of posts on Political Tea Leaves, repeated the old conservative trope that Conservatives face bias. From Hollywood, The "Liberal Media", Google, YouTube, Facebook, etc. According to Minus, "Google hates Conservatives" (comment posted using his Joe Conservative sockpuppet).

Of course this is complete nonsense. A fact I suspect Minus is aware of. This is an old conservative tactic known as "working the refs". They're trying to extort these outlets into changing the rules to FAVOR them. Given the FACT that there is no bias, "eliminating" bias would obviously skew search results, the news (or whatever) in their favor.

Are Google and Facebook really suppressing conservative politics?. (Excerpt from a 12/4/2018 article from The Guardian by Oscar Schwartz). Accusations of encoded anti-conservative prejudice are gaining traction, but experts say the claims are just a red herring. ... In the past year, several Republican politicians have publicly questioned whether social media platforms skew their algorithms to discriminate against conservatives.

Google, Facebook and Twitter have all emphatically denied any technological anti-conservative bias. While trust in these companies is justifiably low after recent scandals, Ari Ezra Waldman, director of the Innovation Center for Law and Technology at the New York Law School, says that there is "zero evidence" to suggest that they're lying. "The fact that individual conservatives get less play or banned [from these platforms] is not evidence of a pattern of bias"...

For Francesca Tripodi, professor of sociology at James Madison University, anecdotal evidence of anti-conservative bias spreads as fact through the media in part because of a deep misunderstanding of how bias in search engines and content moderation practices work. ...These algorithms are very complex and not at all intuitive ... They weigh things like how many people are linking to an article, what key words appear in the headline, and what specific phrases people are using in their search. ... If you search for Donald Trump and receive mostly negative results... it isn't because Google executives are censoring pro-Trump voices, but because most Google users are seeking or linking to this particular type of news item. "In other words, Google is biased but its bias skews towards the type of results people want to see. Search results are kind of like a public opinion poll about what news matters".

So, in order to eliminate "bias", Google would have to manipulate results in favor of Conservatives. Which is what they want. Failing that, their objective is to convince the public that there is "bias" against conservatives. So that the public will disbelieve the truth and believe conservative lies. It's another example of the "fake news" trope.

A red herring "is something that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important question". The red herring (re Google) is WHY are Google results "biased" against Conservatives? Because WE (those of us who voted against Dotard) are the MAJORITY. And, as the article points out, "search results are kind of like a public opinion poll about what news matters".

The simple FACT is that there are more of US using Google then there are of THEM. Just like WE won the popular vote in 2016, WE are winning the popular vote on Google (which is what Google search results represent). If cons don't like it they can pound sand and f*ck off.

At least this is what SHOULD happen. Unfortunately working the refs is an effective strategy. Which is why Dotard - and cultists like Minus - use it. Dotard's lies work because "seeding doubt is made easier by the reality that simple lies are much more persuasive than complex truths". And Dotard is a "master manipulator". He honed his craft during his days as a reality teevee actor on "The Apprentice". Reality teevee being completely fake. They simply film a LOT of footage and pick out the portions that support the narrative they are trying to construct.

Dotard drives home his lies via repetition. Have you noticed how he repeats things multiple times? Dotard pushes out his lies via twitter and to the press (often speaking over the sound of helicopter blades chopping through the air) and the media covers (and repeats) these lies. The media is biased against tRump? Give me a break. The media is his accomplice.

As former CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said, "it may not be good for America, but it's damn good for CBS". He was talking about allowing Dotard to spew his lies on CBS and the fact that covering the Orange fool drew a lot of eyeballs (and thus made CBS a lot of money in advertising dollars). And I thought the media was "biased" against tRump??

I'm not a fan of reality teevee myself, but apparently the dullards love it. Explaining why shows like "Keeping up with the Kardashians" has been on the air for 16 years. This also explains the popularity of the tRump candidacy. People tuned in to see the train wreck. That's what got the non-trumpers eyeballs, at least. The "poorly educated" average trumper saw the Orange idiot and decided, "I like this fellow who tells it like it is" (spews racist and misogynist hate).

The "biased" media helped get tRump elected! Even if now they are more willing to call tRump on his lies and racist hate. He still has the rightwing "media" cheer leading for him and defending him. Sean Hannity (tRump's own Tokyo Rose) and the plethora of other FAKE NEWS trump-supporting outlets that have either sprung up or converted to trumpism.

Although, 2-plus years into the Orange Turd administration, the media is finding it harder to not call a spade a spade (call tRump out for his constant lying and racism). Which is why tRump has to work the refs even harder (his recent "Social Media Summit" being one example). To combat the media's anemic bias in favor of facts and the truth.

BTW, if Twitter was biased against conservatives they would have banned Dotard long ago for TOS violations. Instead "Twitter will add warning labels to tweets from world leaders that break its rules following years of public criticism". Another example of PRO conservative bias. Or an example of the success of working the refs. Imagine the outcry if Twitter actually enforced it's own rules and censored offending tweets from the Orange racist (or kicked him off their platform)?
