Babylon Bee & Brave Books Collaborate To Brainwash Kids & Gouge Rightturd Parents

Me: I found a website called "bravebooks.com". Looks like propaganda for kids. Do you know if anyone else has made this criticism?

Copilot: It seems like you're not alone in your concerns about Brave Books. There have been several criticisms of the website, with some people describing the books as thinly veiled propaganda and expressing concerns about the company's customer service and business practices. [Copilot links to the Reddit thread below].

Reddit Comments
• ichthysdrawn. 3 years ago: These aren't for teaching Christian values, they're for teaching Conservative values, which are not always the same thing. For books created out of a concern for agendas being pushed, these books are certainly pushing an agenda.

Look at the topics of the first books available. Is it The Golden Rule, The Good Samaritan, and Being Truthful? Nope. It's Gender Identity, Sanctity of Life, and Capitalism. These books are thinly veiled propaganda being sold to parents with fear tactics to keep people in the thick of the culture wars. The people behind them are also cause for concern.

Given what I'm seeing here, I would highly doubt you'd be getting any sort of quality Christian teaching out of these (if that's what you're after).

• sh4w5h4nk. 3 years ago: Looks like they are perfect for teaching children how to confuse religion and politics.

• allthewhilewewait. 7 months ago: The company has real integrity issues! I personally had them renew a subscription without my permission. I disputed it and their response -- sorry we don't return subscriptions. How do they get away with that????

Me: What does Brave Books have to do with the Babylon Bee Turds?

Copilot: Brave Books and the Babylon Bee have partnered together on a few initiatives. One notable collaboration is the Freedom Island Book Club, where Brave Books offers a bundle that includes books and activities designed to instill moral values in children. The Babylon Bee, known for its satirical take on current events, has supported this initiative.

Additionally, Brave Books has partnered with the Babylon Bee to give away free copies of their book "Son of Truth", which aims to equip children and families with resources to combat the lack of biblical and fundamental truths in today's culture and media. It's an interesting collaboration between a satirical news outlet and a Christian publishing company. Do you have any thoughts on this partnership?

Me: I hate it. They're propagandizing and brainwashing kids with their bad moral values. It makes me angry.

Copilot: It's completely valid to feel that way. The idea of influencing young minds with certain values or ideologies can be deeply concerning, especially if you believe those values are harmful. It's important to critically evaluate the content and messages being presented to children.

Me: Can you tell me about Elizabeth Johnston, the author of "Little Lives Matter"?

Copilot: Elizabeth Johnston is a homeschooling mother of ten children, a podcast host, and a well-known advocate for conservative values. She has been actively promoting its message about the sanctity of life.

Me: She doesn't believe in birth control? How old is she? It would take some time to birth 10 kids. Is she done now? I saw a picture and she wasn't pregnant. Yet she must have been pregnant for a good portion of her adult life if 10 kids came out of her.

Copilot: Elizabeth Johnston, also known as "The Activist Mommy", has expressed strong opposition to many forms of birth control. She and her husband advocate for natural family planning methods, like the rhythm method, and have been vocal critics of other contraceptive methods. Their stance is rooted in their conservative Christian beliefs.

Elizabeth Johnston is in her early 40s. She has indeed spent a significant portion of her adult life pregnant, given that she has ten children. It seems she is not currently pregnant, but her large family is a testament to her commitment to her values and beliefs.

**end Copilot Q&A**

I didn't actually type that the people at the Babylon Bee are Turds in my question to Copilot. I was thinking it though. Selling Rightturd parents books to propagandize their kids with for $22.99? Sounds like a very profitable racket.

In the video above the christofascist Turd Elizabeth Johnston advocates for imposing her rightturd religulous beliefs on all Americans. She refers to taking away a woman's bodily autonomy as stopping "child killing". 2/27/2020.

donald tRump's Baby Formula Shortage

Policy analysts say U.S. trade restrictions, including ones engineered under the Trump administration, along with lean manufacturing practices help explain why stores can't easily replenish stocks of baby formula. The taxes and extra regulatory hoops make it expensive and difficult to import the specialized baby food. Link.

The House on Wednesday passed a $28 million emergency spending bill to address the nationwide shortage of baby formula. Rep Rosa DeLauro, the Democratic chair of the House Appropriations Committee who authored the bill, said the money would pay for additional U.S. Food and Drug Administration staffing to boost inspection of formula at domestic and foreign suppliers, prevent fraudulent products getting onto store shelves and improve data collection on the infant formula marketplace.

The bill, known as the Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, passed 231 to 192 in a vote mostly along party lines. All House Democrats supported the legislation, along with 12 Republicans who bucked their party leadership to support it.

Here is a list of all Republicans who voted against the Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act.

So, republiturds voted against solving the problem donald tRump created, yet dishonest magaturds will still try and blame our fantastic President, Joe Biden.

For example, the following video was linked to by the blogger Minus FJ on Lisa's blog...

According to the idiots behind "United Spot", the Biden administration plan to deal with the baby formula shortage is to abort more babies. "It's all part of the plan" the (bad) deep-fake Nancy Peolsi says. It isn't. Preserving a woman's right to choose won't lead to more abortions. Democrats are pro-choice, not pro-abortion.

Not that the baby formula shortage and abortion have anything to do with each other. They DO NOT. Other things that have nothing to do with the formula shortage? Not allowing immigrant mothers with infant babies apprehended at the border to starve or The war in Ukraine.

President Joe Biden has (NPR reports) "invoked the Defense Production Act to speed production of infant formula and authorized flights to import supply from overseas". Additionally, the "FDA said it was streamlining its review process to make it easier for foreign manufacturers to begin shipping more formula into the US".

President Biden, his administration and Congressional Democrats are on this. While republiturds lie and vote against legislation addressing the problem. ALL for political advantage. Because republiturds are terrible.

Illegitimate Supreme Court To Overturn Roe V Wade

The original vote affirming a woman's right to privacy in the matter of abortion was bipartisan. The vote to overturn will be 100 percent one-sided. With 3 of the justices voting to strip women of this fundamental right being donald tRump appointments.

7 Voted For
William O. Douglas (FDR D)
Thurgood Marshall (LBJ D)
Harry Blackmun (Nixon R)
William J. Brennan Jr. (Eisenhower R)
Warren Burger (Nixon R)
Lewis Powell Jr. (Nixon R)
Potter Stewart (Eisenhower R)

Two Voted Against
Byron White (JFK D)
William Rehnquist (Nixon R)

donald tRump Appointments
Neil Gorsuch (stolen seat).
Boofing Brett Kavanaugh (unfit to serve on the court).
Amy Barrett (stolen seat).

ALL three tRump appointed justiced lied under oath during their Congressional hearings, insisting that Roe was settled law, and therefore they would not overturn it.

And there is also the fact that donald tRump was an illegitimate president and should have appointed ZERO supreme court justices.

Do republicans Object To Abortion Because It's "Murder" Or Because They Want To Control Women? Hint: It's Because They're Misogynists Who Want To Control Women

Have you heard that women don't have to worry about being forced to carry a rapist's baby to term in Texas? The reason? Governor Abbott has promised that he is going to reduce rapes in Texas to zero. Very soon all the rapists in Texas will be rounded up and incarcerated. Soon the word will get out that, if you rape in Texas, you go to prison. And then there will be no more rape.

Even though (currently) Texas is one of the states with the most rapes. Perhaps because the current message being broadcast is that Texas doesn't care if women are raped. Proven by that fact that there is a huge backlog of rape kits piling up in Texas police stations.

As per George Carlin, conservatives aren't pro-life, they are anti-woman.

As Carlin pointed out, republicans only care about "babies" (pre-birth) and not so much about babies (post-birth).

Democrats want to make abortion unnecessary by supporting mothers and babies post-birth. republicans vociferously oppose this approach. Not because it doesn't work, but because they don't care about babies post-birth. republicans aren't pro-life, Democrats are pro-life. Proven by the fact that the "during the last 30 years, abortion rates have fallen the most under Democratic presidents".

"...the Republican approach to stopping abortion is regulation. [An] interesting stance for the hands-off business party. They fight against economic prosperity for middle and lower-class workers, birth control, and good health care for families. What is more effective in reducing abortions? Economic stability, affordable family planning/birth control, and quality health care. The very things Republicans fight AGAINST".

By the way, republican men, you can do your part to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies! Unwanted pregnancies aren't the sole responsibility of women.

Yet Donald tRump, when it comes to women who get abortions, said "there has to be some form of punishment". And none for the men. When asked by Chris Matthews (during a 3/30/2016 Town Hall prior to the 2016 election) if men bear any responsibility or should face any punishment, Dotard replied "I would say no".

Punishment for women (and their doctors) but none for men. Because republican opposition to abortion is rooted in misogny and their desire to control women. By the way, "the abortion rate in the U.S. ticked up slightly from 2017 to 2018, according to data reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention". This uptick occurred during the Dotard administration (after decreasing by 26% under president Obama).

Christianist Dominated SCOTUS OKs Unconstitutional Texas Taliban Stripping Bodily Autonomy From Women

Stolen elections have consequences! Radical Christianists appointed to the Supreme Court by the illegitimate orange turd (seditionist sore loser the American people rejected bigly) have allowed an unconstitutional law passed in Texas to go into effect.

Women of child-bearing age in Texas have had their bodily autonomy stripped by the Texas Heartbeat Act. "The act is a de facto ban on abortion in Texas" (with no exceptions for rape, incest, or fetal abnormalities). The Supreme Court refused to act despite the clear unconstitutionality of the law. "Since the law cannot be enforced by state officials, but only by private citizens, there is no precise party to sue in seeking a protective injunction".

"The Center for Reproductive Rights filed an emergency motion before the Supreme Court of the United States on 8/30/2021, seeking to block the Act. In a 5–4 vote, the Supreme Court denied the motion before the 9/1/2021, commencement date, and subsequently the Act came into force" (quoted text from Wikipedia).

In the video below (9/2/2021 airing of MSNBC's The ReidOut) host Joy Reid and guest Frank Schaeffer discuss how Christianists in Texas are imposing their radical Taliban-like beliefs on the rest of America (Pew Research says "seven-in-ten say they do not want to see the Roe v. Wade decision completely overturned").

The "American Taliban" are "in many ways similar to the Middle Eastern Islamists". In that the people who call themselves "pro-life" are actually pushing "fake family values [and] thinly veiled misogyny". This law is about controlling women. Control the Taliban in Afghanistan quickly reinstated when they regained power following President Joe Biden's courageous decision to end one of American's dumbest wars.

By the way, "The name [Heatbeat bill] references the point in time at around six weeks' gestation when the embryo's cardiac activity can first be detected by an ultrasound - which under the new law triggers a block on an abortion. But medical and reproductive health experts say the reference to a heartbeat at that stage of a pregnancy is medically inaccurate as an embryo does not have a developed heart at six weeks' gestation. ...the activity measured on an ultrasound in early gestation is electrical impulses...".

There is no heartbeat. Labeling it thusly is clearly a manipulation tactic designed to fool the stupids. "...it's kind of like using the term unborn child instead of fetus...". The Texas abortion law "is intentionally written that way in order to evoke an emotional response. But what it is in reality is just a ban on abortion at six weeks' gestation, which is two weeks after a missed period. It's incredibly unconstitutional" as per Aimee Arrambide, executive director of the statewide abortion rights group Avow Texas (2 above paragrah quotes: Why "heartbeat bill" is a misleading name for Texas' near-total abortion ban).

Regarding the above video, Dozie D writes (in the comments on the YouTube page), "Good one, Frank. No one, not me, not Billy Graham, not you, not the Evangelical Right, not Muslims, not any government, NO ONE should be able to impose their religious beliefs on another person. America must stand firm in this one truth. Otherwise, Freedom means nothing".

Nor should anyone be allowed to impose their misogynist White Supremacist beliefs on the rest of us. I add this because the pro-autocracy blogger Minus FJ (who might read this) does not identify as Christian. Obviously he doesn't want to impose his Christianist beliefs on anyone, as he doesn't have any. He does wish to impose his White Supremacist misogynist beliefs on the rest of us, however. Through terrorist violence, if necessary (to put a stop to "stolen" elections).

Bloodthirsty Christian Conservatives Demand More Abortions (Via The Seating Of Amy Barrett)

To be clear, "Christian" Conservatives aren't demanding more abortions with their words. With their words they say they want fewer abortions. They say this will be accomplished by getting rid of a woman's right to chose and forcing women to carry their rapist's babies to term. Also women who accidently get pregnant and do not want to go through the expense and danger to their health of a pregnancy. These women should also be subjected to forced pregnancies too.

But with their actions? They are definitely demanding more abortions. Given the fact that countries with stricter abortion laws have higher abortion rates.

Abortion rates go down when countries make it legal: report. 3/20/2018 ABC News article by Maggie Fox. Excerpt.

Abortion rates have fallen over the past 25 years, even as more countries have made the procedure legal and easier to get, according to a new report... Countries with the most restrictive abortion laws also have the highest rates of abortion, the study by the Guttmacher Institute found. Easier access to birth control drives down abortion rates, the report also finds. ...

Switzerland had the lowest abortion rate at 5 per 1,000 women. The U.S. rate is 13 per 1,000 women, the same as Britain's, the report found. Colombia and Mexico had abortion rates of 34 per 1,000 women. Pakistan’s estimated abortion rate was the highest at 50 per 1,000 women.

The Trump Administration has embraced a conservative-led movement to limit abortion rights in the US. ... And the Trump Health and Human Services Department has reversed Obama era policies that made contraception more freely available and that used evidence-based approaches to fight teen pregnancy ... "Improved contraceptive use, and in turn, declines in unintended pregnancy rates are the likely driver behind the worldwide decline in abortion rates"...

"Highly restrictive laws do not eliminate the practice of abortion, but make those that do occur more likely to be unsafe"...

Religious nutters like Amy Barrett also oppose contaeception, a surefire route to drive up abortion rates. Amy Barret (as per Huffpost) opposed the "birth control mandate in the Affordable Care Act that requires most private health insurance plans to cover birth control without a copay".

If Amy Barret is seated the ACA could be struck down before the end of the year. Had Barrett been on the court the last time republicans tried to get rid of the ACA, "she would have voted with the other Republican-appointed justices and said Obamacare was unconstitutional" (as per the previously linked to Huffpost article). After that she will be part of the 6-3 Conservative majority that will overturn Roe V Wade.

"That will happen, automatically in my opinion", Dotard said back in 2016 as a candidate. He was talking about him appointing just one justice (the appointment stolen from Barack Obama). Now that he has appointed/will appoint 3 justices, the "automatic" overturning of Roe V Wade needs only a case. Which some conservative group will ceratinly seek to get in front of the court ASAP.

As per the pro-Dotard blogger, Minus FJ, after ACB is seated "Roe will be overturned ending America's 62+ million abortions nightmare". But Minus is wrong. The nightmare will begin if/when Roe is overturned. Given that abortion rates will likely increase. As per the study by the Guttmacher Institute.

Quote: "In countries that restrict abortion, the percentage of unintended pregnancies ending in abortion has increased during the past 30 years, from 36% in 1990–1994 to 50% in 2015–2019".

By the way, the US public continues to favor legal abortion and opposes overturning Roe. This is according to an August 2019 Pew poll that says "a majority of Americans (61%) continue to say that abortion should be legal in all (27%) or most (34%) cases [and that] a smaller share of the public (38%) says abortion should be illegal in all (12%) or most cases (26%)".

Yet another example of how the "tyranny of the majority" that Conservatives fear is bullshit. The truth is that Conservatives love imposing their minority views upon the rest of us. The question is just how far the majority can be pushed before they've decided they've had enough. Why, I think, if Joe Biden wins the election and is sworn in a president (and ACB is seated beforehand), he will have no choice but to expand the court.

In order to undo the injustice of imposing minority rule upon the American people. And in order to save women's lives and reduce abortions.

Image: "Why do [religious conservatives] want Coney Barrett? They expect her to be the final vote banning abortions, killing Obamacare, making birth control illegal, outlawing gay marriage, and forcing every woman in the nation to wear a chastity belt" (excerpted from the article Amy's Cult).
